Strength and Knot Strength Test Procedure

For Strength and knot strength testing we used Houndfield universal testing machine, with the following setup;

1. Gauge length : 500mm

2. Test speed : 200mm/min

Strength testing steps;

1. Clip line to the upper grip then circle it to upper bollard. Guide line to lower bollard at the lower grip, circle it and clip to lower bollard.

2. Tighten the upper clipand the lower clip to ensure there isn't any slip during test.

3. Run the machine to test, make sure that the upper grip move upward.

4. Wait until the line break and read the result on the screen.

5. Test result will be accepted only if the line break betweent the upper and lower bollard.

Knot strength testing steps;

Similar to the Strength testing steps, the different is it has extreme knot at the middle of specimen.
